Scott Phelan named permanent Everton Women manager
Scott Phelan has been appointed permanent head coach of Everton Women following a successful interim spell last season. The 38-year-old took over in February when Brian Sorensen was sacked, guiding the Toffees to an eighth-placed finish in the Women's Super League.

Phelan joined Everton as a player at age eight and progressed through the academy before returning as a coach in 2012. After taking over on an interim basis, he led the team to three consecutive WSL wins, securing an eighth-place finish with 23 points from 22 games (7W-2D-13L). Former Everton striker Phil Jevons will continue to support Phelan in his new role.
